The tournament director reserves the right to shorten the length/scoring of all matches due to inclement weather, scheduling delays, or other reasons in the best interest of completing the tournament on time. However, all efforts will be made to ensure that every match played within a certain level in the same round are scored in the same manner.

The Aloha Tennis Open offers singles consolation for first match losses (byes are not considered a first match loss). Please check with the tournament desk during the Open for scheduling. If time permits, we will offer doubles consolation as well.

Aloha Tennis Open will use current GLTA Rules for all events. Please read the GLTA rules carefully to ensure you have entered the proper division. Failure to enter the correct division may result in GLTA sanctions on the player or the player may be defaulted from the tournament. Women's Singles and Mixed Doubles this year will be open rating play.

Open NTRP 5.0+ rating-highly advanced tournament player

A NTRP 4.5 rating-advanced tournament player

B NTRP 3.5-4.0 rating-high intermediate tournament player

C NTRP 3.0 rating-low intermediate tournament player

D NTRP 2.5 or less rating-beginning tournament player with little experience

GLTA rules regarding the splitting of divisions will govern. Split divisions are permitted at the Aloha Tennis Open. No player may play down, in any discipline, more than one level from his or her highest ranking. For example, a player who is rated as "open" in doubles and "B" in singes cannot play below the "A" level in singles, even if the player is not registered to play in a doubles draw. No player shall be allowed to play a lower division than that which he/she is listed under in the appropriate GLTA Seeding Point database. Injury related reduction in ranking requests must be completed prior to the DRAW and processed via the GLTA Commissioner. A player with a current valid ranking by an ITF-affiliated, national or regional tennis association may not play in a division lower than that ranking regardless of his or her GLTA ranking.  ANY REGISTERED PLAYER WITHOUT an official ranking noted above will not be included in the DRAW.

In order to prevent "sandbagging" (i.e., playing at a level substantially below a player's actual skill level), the tournament director has absolute discretion in determining whether a player will be permitted to play at a certain level, even if you receive permission from the GLTA executive board to play at a certain level.

Players are expected to adhere to the USTA/GLTA Rules and Procedures.

Refunds (less any PayPal fees) will be processed for withdrawals made prior to October 7, 2016.

In the event of weather related delays, changes in the location and/or format may be implemented when play resumes. All efforts will be made to apply changes consistently from round to round.

A waiting list will be maintained if more entries are received than the event allows. If entrants withdraw prior to the draw being made once a division is full, then players from the waiting list will be notified as space becomes available. PLEASE NOTE: NO PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN SEEDED CAN BE SUBSTITUTED AFTER THE DRAW HAS BEEN MADE. A list of players on the wait-list, will be maintained onsite.  If a scheduled player does not show up for the first match, then a player on the waiting list may be substituted. Substitution is based on who is present at the default time and highest on the list. Full refunds will be given to players who withdraw before October 7, 2016. No refunds will be issued after that time. All payments returned from insufficient funds will be considered as non-payment and will result in an additional charge of $25.00 payable to the Aloha Tennis Association. PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ENTERED INTO THE DRAW UNTIL FULL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
